PM ANNOUNCES RECONSTITUTION OF FINANCE INQUIRY, NAMES TWO ADDITIONAL COMMISSIONERS

Prime Minister, Sir Michael Somare today announced the formal reconstitution of the Finance Commission of Inquiry.
Sir Michael also announced the appointment of prominent Papua New Guineans, Mr Don Manoa and Justice Cathy Davani as the two Commissioners who will assist Chairman Maurice Sheehan.
He said he was happy with the appointment of the two additional Commissioners as “they have high standing in the community.”
Sir Michael said the Inquiry will have a specific budget and timeline of nine months in which to complete its task.
“I am confident that with calibre of people we have on board, the Commission will meet this deadline and present its final report to me,” Sir Michael said.
