TERMINATION OF LUPARI AS CHIEF SECRETARY TO GOVT

The Prime Minister, Grand Chief, Sir Michael Somare, today announced that the National Executive Council has endorsed the revocation of appointment of Mr Isaac Lupari as the Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister & NEC and as Chief Secretary to Government.
Chairman of NEC and Prime Minister, Sir Michael Somare said the revocation
of Mr Lupari‘s appointment was done in the interest of the State.
Sir Michael said Ms Margaret Elias has now been appointed acting Chief Secretary to Government until a substantive appointment is made.
The Department of Personnel Management has also been directed to proceed to advertise the position in accordance with provisions of the Constitution and the Public Services (Management) Act.
