NEC APPOINTS ZURENUOC AS NEW SECRETARY FOR PROVINCIAL & LOCAL LEVEL GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Lands and Mining, Dr Puka Temu today announced Cabinet’s appointment of Manasupe Zurenuoc as the new Secretary for the Department of Provincial & Local Level Government Affairs.
Mr Zurenuoc, 48, from Finchafen in the Morobe Province replaces the late Gei Ilagi who sadly passed away late last year.
He holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Papua New Guinea and was serving his second term as Morobe Provincial Administrator until this appointment.
“Cabinet took into consideration the more than 20 years knowledge and experience that Mr Zurenuoc had of the workings of the Morobe provincial and local level government system.
“As Administrator, he has had a long and intimate working relationship with the Department of Provincial & Local Level Government Affairs and is well versed with policy formulation, planning, implementation, and monitoring at the provincial and district levels,” Dr Temu said.
Mr Zurenuoc’s appointment will be for four years.
